What is Democracy? (In honor of Wah Suk) by Athena Cheung 1-25-11

Democracy is a butterfly that chooses its own flower,
Even though, the flower is far at the top of the tower,
Democracy is God’s given right of equality,
That everyone’s opinion is potential quality,
Democracy is the reason we continue on,
Even though the world will cry and mourn,
Democracy is the fight to continue our fight,
Despite our hero who has entered the light.

Wah Suk is a strong outspoken believer,
We will forever cherish the memory of our leader,
He dedicated his work and himself for this cause,
Know that he is watching and we are not at loss,
He gave us hope to believe and say ‘We Can’
To us, he is a leader, a hero and a friend.

你問我，你何時再回港？
我避開你的眼光，沒有答！
你再問我，何時再回港？
我說: 你努力些，我們在溫哥華見，好嗎？
你微笑說：那兒的食物實在美味…
然後，我含著淚送你到停車場，在你身後偷拍了這照片，我取名: 背影。

你知嗎？我想和你說，我很害怕；我不知那時再見到你。
你知嗎？我想告訴你，我很幸運的認識你。
你知嗎？我想對你說，你在茶餐廳吃紅豆冰的樣子是最好看的。

你捨得我們嗎？
你捨得你的戰友、學生、朋友嗎？
你捨得每年六月的維園嗎？
你捨得你愛的香港嗎？
你捨得你日夜思念的祖國嗎？

我只想真心告訴你，我和許許多多的人，實在捨不得你！
我們都是自私的，我們希望你永遠常在；
我們喜歡聽你講故事，我們希望學習你所教導的。

你現在走了，但我不會和你說再見的。
因為我們有天會再見，我會告知你:
香港有民主、中國有民主、六四平反了。
